Scholarship & Research:

Professor Dapice joined the Tufts faculty in 1973 as an Assistant Professor and was promoted to Associate Professor in 1980, after which he served as department chair for three years. He has specialized in economic development, especially in Asia. He has taken leaves with the World Bank, Rockefeller Foundation and the Harvard Institute for International Development. Since 1990, he has bought half of his time to conduct research with the Vietnam Program, now located in Asia Programs at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Recent work has focused on Vietnam, Cambodia, Mongolia and Myanmar. He helps to direct and teaches at the Fulbright School in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. He is actively involved with the Institute for Global Leadership and the Global Health, Nutrition and Environment Program in the International Relations Department.
