CẢM-TẠ HOA-KỲ
 
Xin cảm-tạ Hoa-Kỳ đã cứu chúng tôi
Thoát quỷ dữ cướp Quyền Người, Quyền Sống.
Trên quê cũ, chúng trù nòi, dập giống,
Dù trí-thức, bình-dân, cách-mạng, tu-hành.
 
Xin cảm-tạ Hoa-Kỳ về bài học phân-ranh
Giữa quân-lực với quyền-hành chính-trị.
Nước cũ chúng tôi, nằm trong tay vũ-bị,
Dị-ứng độc-tài nên cơ-cấu khuynh-vong.
 
Xin cảm-tạ Hoa-Kỳ về gương sáng nêu chung,
Phân-lập rõ giữa giáo-quyền, chính-sự.
Dân cũ chúng tôi bị khuôn rào trí-lự,
Giáo-sĩ độc-tôn nên sự-nghiệp suy-đồi.
 
Xin cảm-tạ Hoa-Kỳ đã hiến sẵn sinh-môi
Cho thể-xác lẫn tinh-thần phát-triển.
Dân nước chúng tôi mất tự-do thể-hiện
Quyền làm ăn, suy nghĩ, phát-biểu, an-sinh.
 
Xin cảm-tạ Hoa-Kỳ đã nuôi dưỡng Niềm Tin
Về một Tương-Lai phục-hồi chân-giá-trị
Cho Quê Mẹ chúng tôi rỡ-ràng địa-vị
Trên mặt địa-cầu ai nấy góp công xây...

     THANK YOU, AMERICA!

Thank you, America! for rescuing us from hell,
Humble humans deprived of all rights to life.
In our old country our enemies cruelly quell
Laborers, intellects, revolutionaries, monks alike.
 
Thank you, America! for teaching us systematism
By which military is only a part of attribution.
In our late republic existed militarism
Causing dictatorship to erode the constitution.
 
Thank you, America! for the example to settle
The difference between politics and religion.
In our poor nation the priests did meddle
In worldly powers, and it was mutual demolition.
 
Thank you, America! for granting us medium
To develop our bodies and expand our minds.
In our left-behind state there is no freedom
To work and enjoy, think and express any kinds.
 
Thank you, America! for nursing us deep hope
For a near future we can True Virtue attain
So that our Motherland emerge on the globe,
Our People, with your help, Man’s Value regain.
